Varsity Volleyball : King George Foxes vs. Chancellor Chargers - Postseason
Tuesday night was a tough one for the Chancellor Chargers (3 Seed), as consistency problems dug a hole that couldn't be climbed out of as the King George Foxes (2 Seed) cruised to a 3 - 0 sweep. Senior Eryn Suttle, however, had an impressive ending to her high school career collecting 8 kills on 11 hitting attempts.

Match 1 was purely dominated by the Foxes, who penetrated the Chargers' defense with a constant spiking attack that left no room for error. The Chargers did what they could, recording 3 blocks but it just wasn't enough as the Foxes found holes and exposed them for points. With a final score of 25-14, the Chargers had fallen behind early and couldn't get back up.
Match 2 reflected some of the same troubles for the Chargers, as King George miscues weren't taken advantage of. The Chargers did continue to be consistent with serving, not recording a single fault in the match while the Foxes had two. The Foxes kept with their strong offensive attack, continuing to spike and find holes which became the Chargers' downfall. The final score of Match 2 was 25-7.
Match 3 was much closer compared to its' predecessors. The Chargers established a lead early and kept it that way late into the match as drives were set up by Junior Haley McDaniel and Senior Brittany Margelos. The Foxes pulled together and charged with a 5 point drive late to tie things back up late and to eventually steal a match that should've been won by the Chargers. The extended match ended with a score of 26-24, ending the game and the Chargers' season.
The King George Foxes will move on to play the Courtland Cougars on Thursday night for the District Championship. This game marked the end of the Chancellor Chargers' season, which had plenty of highlights and bright moments to boast. It also saw the Senior campaigns of Eryn Suttle, Bella Conrad, Ashleigh Jenkins, and Brittany Margelos. The Chargers finished an impressive season with a record of 11 - 10, going 1 - 1 in the playoffs.
Great season Chargers!
