Seesaw Match-Up Won By Chargers Electrifying Offense

Varsity Volleyball : Chancellor Chargers vs. Spotsylvania Knights

For almost the entire night it seemed as if both the Chancellor Chargers and Spotsylvania Knights were equally matched as the games weren't easily decided. Nobody held any leads for long, but the Chargers brought their electric offense with them carrying 37 spikes that winded the Knights who racked up twelve saves. The Chargers faced everything and overcame, winning impressively 3 - 0 against a strong Knights squad.

In the first set, the seesaw match-up was in full force as both teams traded points back and forth. It wasn't just a strong offense that led the Chargers, the girls were able to hold a powerful Knight No. 10 who tried spiking all night but couldn't get much to the ground. In an extended game, the Chargers walked away victoriously 30 - 28.

In the second set, things started to fall the Knights way early on and the Chargers were in danger of dropping the second set and falling into a dangerous tie on the road. But, down by seven the Chargers never gave up and kept pushing until they were back in a dead-locked tie with the Knights and forced another extended game. Thanks to multiple diving efforts and some incredible rallies, the Chargers were able to run off the court winning 27 - 25.

Finally it was the third match where the Chargers just simply proved their dominance. With multiple drives led by No. 7 Bella Conrad and No. 6 Mackenzie Coates, the Chargers were able to wrap things up nicely and soar on to a sweep against the Knights. Multiple Chargers committed to this game, with no one person standing out above the rest. It was a total team effort that in the end bested the Knights. The Chargers would win the third set, 25 - 16.

The Chargers will head to Courtland this Thursday to try and build off this impressive win.
